Privacy Policy

This policy applies to consumer, sole trader, and partnership customers.

Scope

The policy covers products and services provided (Technical Support, Broadband, Phones) and websites. It applies to customers and non-customers who interact with the company through service use, promotions, surveys, helpdesk calls, or service inquiries.

Not included: employee/shareholder information, third-party advertisers, linked external organisations. See the cookie policy for website cookie usage.

Millennium operates under these trading names:

  • Millennium Ltd
  • Millennium Telecom Ltd

The policy is reviewed regularly with updates posted when changes occur.

Accessing and updating information

Customers may request corrections or removal of inaccurate personal data at no charge through Customer Services. Under the Data Protection Act, individuals can request copies of held information by writing to: DPO, Millennium Limited, 17 Midland Court, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6RA. A processing fee may apply. Identification will be required.

Customers can opt out of direct marketing communications; processing may take up to 120 hours. Service and billing information will continue.

Personal information collection and use

Data collection depends on products and services used. Information is used to:

  • Provide contracted services
  • Pursue legitimate business interests
  • Identify relevant products/services
  • Share administratively within the group
  • Support marketing (with consent)
  • Develop business understanding
  • Train staff
  • Meet legal/regulatory obligations and law enforcement requests

Information sharing

Personal data is shared with group companies operating under identical protection standards. External service providers handle data under company control with strict protections. Information is retained only in the UK and EU/EEA.

Protection and retention

Security measures include identity verification and encryption. Retention periods:

  • Bill summaries: 6 years from bill date
  • Contact details: duration of customer relationship plus 6 years
  • Dispute details: 6 years after closure
  • Longer retention occurs when legally required; otherwise data is deleted

Contact and complaints

Questions about data usage should be directed to the DPO at the company address. Complaints can be escalated to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.

Cookie policy

We only use analytics and advertising cookies if you agree to them. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept them all, reject them all, or choose each type. Nothing is sent to Google until you do. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, which is also at the bottom of every page. We ask again after 12 months.

  • Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies, which last up to 2 years. They show us which pages are visited and how people find the site, so we can improve it. Google processes this data on our behalf.
  • Advertising (only with your consent): Google Ads sets cookies such as _gcl_au and _gcl_aw, which last up to 90 days. They tell us which of our Google adverts lead to enquiries and orders, and Google may use them to choose the adverts you see. With this consent we also:
    • keep a note in your browser, for 90 days, of the advert or campaign that brought you to our site (the Google click ID and campaign tags in the link you followed), the page you arrived on and the website you came from. If you then send us an enquiry, order or booking, these details are sent with it, so we can see which advert or campaign it came from.
    • when you send us an enquiry, order or booking, give Google your email address and phone number in hashed (scrambled) form, so it can match your enquiry to an advert you clicked. This is known as enhanced conversions.
  • Essential: your browser stores your cookie choice, so we don’t ask you again on every page. Our enquiry and order forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam.

If you reject a type of cookie, or later withdraw your consent, we delete that type’s cookies from your browser, along with any advert details we noted.
