The PSTN switch-off
Ready for the PSTN switch-off
Openreach is switching off the UK's old analogue (PSTN) and ISDN phone network by 31 January 2027, so every business line has to move to a digital service.
We're already moving our existing customers, and we'll handle the switch for you too — including the lines people forget about, like lift lines and alarm systems.
Where something can't move to a digital service yet, we'll provide a PSTN-equivalent product so it keeps working.

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. Moving a number to us usually takes about seven days, and we can time the switch to coincide with your new phone system or broadband installation.
Which calls are included?
Business VoIP includes all UK landline and mobile calls — only international calls cost extra. Low-use VoIP includes your number but no calls: you pay per call, at discounted UK landline and mobile rates.
How long is the contract?
Our typical contract is 24 months, but we can offer shorter terms — from as little as 30 days.
Can we use our business number when working from home?
Yes. With the mobile and desktop apps, your business number goes wherever you do — at your desk, on your laptop or on your mobile.
What about our alarm and lift lines?
They're covered. As part of the PSTN switch-off we'll move them to a digital service, or provide a PSTN-equivalent product where they can't move yet.
Can you work with the phone system we already have?
Often, yes. If your on-site phone system supports SIP, we can connect it with SIP trunks instead of replacing it.
