4). Grammarly

Grammarly will check your spelling and grammar as you type in a whole bunch of different web apps. Most web browsers like Chrome already check spelling, but Grammarly will give you Word-like suggestions for sentence structure and proper wording. It also comes up with a suggestion when it thinks you may wrote the wrong word by mistake. For example, if you write the following sentence, 'The dog was vary nice', Grammarly will prompt you to change the word 'vary' to 'very'.

5). FireShot

Taking screenshots of what's in your browser is a very easy way to relay information to someone, or to remind yourself of some information at a later date. You can capture all tabs at once to a single PDF and upload it to OneNote. You can also edit the screenshots and annotate them.

6). Turn Off The Lights

For those who watch a lot of videos on their computer, this extension can enhance the experience hugely. Turn Off The Light will blur/block (depending on the settings you choose) all the area around the video, so your focus is purely on the video. It also reduces the stress to your eyes as your eyes aren't having to process as much complex information background information around the video.

7). uBlock Origin

uBlock Origin will block you from loading websites intended for phishing as well as websites that have malware embedded. Once you install it, you choose the different lists you would like to protect yourself against and that’s it. Sometimes it’ll block something it shouldn’t, but it’s super easy to disable it for the current website you are on. This is an excellent extension from a security perspective.

8). Disconnect

Disconnect is an extension that you install and then just leave to do its magic. It’s a great privacy tool for making sure every website you visit isn’t tracking everything you do online. In addition, because it blocks tracking, it also saves data and reduces the load time for sites. A lot of requests made to a website are just for the tracking cookies and tracking scripts, not actually the content which you see.

9). Speed Dial 2

If you want to brighten up the new tab page, this extension will do just the trick. You can personalise it to your needs and is great for those who want quick access to their favourite sites. Speed Dial 2 does that by allowing you to organise all your pages and apps into groups. You can also customise the theme and heavily customise the layout. Lastly, you can create an account and sync everything across all your devices.

10). LastPass
A password manager lets you create complex passwords that are different for each site. Now if you're using different complex passwords for every site you use then memorising them is an impossibility. The obvious fear most people have is that one of these companies will be hacked themselves and all your passwords will be leaked. That is a possibility and that’s why a lot of people use local databases. That being said, LastPass has been around for years and so far no incidents have resulted in compromised passwords.
